A Truth Journal: CIA Petraeus' Affair: What Questions Still Need Answering In Spite of BS Story Lines?

A Truth Journal: CIA Petraeus' Affair: What Questions Still Need Answering In Spite of BS Story Lines?:

From Denny:  Any time we witness a fall from grace of a very public figure we all wince.  Maybe it's a case of TMI.  Maybe it's because our thoughts swiftly fly to the embarrassed wife and children in sympathetic support.  Maybe we have been betrayed in a similar fashion and don't enjoy the reminder.  Or just maybe we were the thoughtless wonders who did the hurting.

Whatever the case this is always a sad event.  When you add the intelligence community component it could too easily evolve into a national security disaster.  Move over, Wiki Leaks, the old-fashioned honeypot trap works in any century as an easy way to extract sensitive information.

The Social Poets: Gen. Petraeus: Why No One Wants To Work For Your CIA

The Social Poets: Gen. Petraeus: Why No One Wants To Work For Your CIA: From Denny: At this point, now one month into his job, the word is that the new director is horrified at the lack of acquiring and keeping good people. He is shocked that even the children of CIA officers do not - and will not - apply to the agency. In contrast, in the military tradition it is commonplace for generations to serve.

The intelligence community has long known that the children of CIA officers absorb the mindset and understanding of the intelligence world from growing up in it, creating an easier transition to get an employee ready for the environment.

What they did not calculate is how the tension and dangers of the intelligence environment takes its toll upon the family of CIA officers too. Who wants to spend your childhood as a soft target for assassins only to choose that same career as an adult and then turn around and do it to your children? Many have discovered what a bad idea that was and counsel their children against joining the agency.

The dangerous political atmosphere of the CIA where your own colleagues are setting you up to take the fall for more than just a career move for them has soured many on the CIA. There is little team integrity and team loyalty. Few can trust each other.

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Video: Colbert Says Osama Bin Laden Still Dead

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Video: Colbert Says Osama Bin Laden Still Dead: "From Denny: In the spirit of true excessive satirical celebration Stephen Colbert talks his usual funny nonsense that is so ridiculous you can't help but laugh. His latest is downplaying how Bin Laden was said to be a figurehead but hey, America loves to hunt down and kill figureheads just as much as the guys who are involved in day to day operations.

Colbert proclaims we all love figureheads, like the British monarchy, why not terrorist figureheads? Says Colbert, 'I can't wait to see what he was wearing.'

He gives a shout out to Navy Seal Team Six. Since the real identities of the team are classified only Colbert would speculate as to who they truly are: Rambo, John MacLaine, Master Chief, Batman, Vin Diesel, Laura Croft and Kung Fu Panda."

The Social Poets: Funny 1917 CIA Spy Technology Docs Released: Invisible Writing

The Social Poets: Funny 1917 CIA Spy Technology Docs Released: Invisible Writing: "From Denny: Anyone who regularly reads this blog knows I grew up in the CIA. Yes, it was one weird childhood living with such paranoid uptight and often humorless people. Whenever the CIA releases ancient documents molding down in their deep dark spy basement it always gives me a grin.

When I was a kid we spent a lot of time figuring out codes since Dad had been a code breaker in WWII - among other things. One of our other childhood past times was to figure out intriguing ways to pass messages and, yes, write in invisible ink. Even Dad joined in the fun. My mother just shook her head and thought we were all a bunch of looney tunes. Knowing Dad he was probably using his baby geniuses to do his research on the cheap. Who said you can't take your work home with you?

Anyway, it is with great pleasure I present to you Rachel Maddow's cheeky report about Dear Ol' Dad's creepy CIA. This week, The New CIA under Director Leon Panetta, and a lot less creepy, odious and just plain obnoxious, released some 1917 technology for public viewing, er, laughter."

The Social Poets: Libya: Gadafi Regime Cracking Under Pressure Says Intel

The Social Poets: Libya: Gadafi Regime Cracking Under Pressure Says Intel: " The intelligence community is reporting 'the morale of Gadhafi forces is on the decline,' according to one official. 'Do ya think?' Your morale would be on the decline after witnessing coalition bombings taking out whole regiments of troops along with bombing cities. It's a lot different when the horror you once inflicted upon others becomes your own blood and guts horror.

Sounds like America's intelligence community so owes me a paycheck. :) They have finally come to the same conclusion as I have that The Gadafi Crowd can't handle the international heat and fear the massing crowds of Libyans who hate him."
