The Social Poets: Cleveland Mayor Spanks Big Banks On Abandoned Foreclosures

JP Morgan Chase Big Banks Action

The Social Poets: Cleveland Mayor Spanks Big Banks On Abandoned Foreclosures: From Denny: A crooked Congress and a delusional President continue to ignore the millions of foreclosed homes at their peril. America's Winter Revolution is about to erupt like a super volcano before the New Year has a chance to arrive.

Yes, Americans are that fed up at inequality, unemployment, under employment, unfairness, a police state mentality against peaceful protests and double standards for the law.

Mayors across the country are equally desperate about how to deal with the huge inventory of abandoned foreclosed homes getting vandalized.

The Social Poets: Political Cartoon, Video: Obama And His Fellow Election Pundits

Barack Obama
The Social Poets: Political Cartoon, Video: Obama And His Fellow Election Pundits: From Denny:   As the 2012 election gears up to wear out the American public this month and for the next year nonstop, I thought I'd remind my fellow media guys - and now President Obama - just how bad they often look when giving their opinions, especially of their own accomplishments.  It really is the season of having to endure more delusional smug political propaganda from both sides of the aisle.

Tis the season of the cartoonish political pundit, spouting off silly opinions that rarely ever come true but sure makes for funny entertainment.  This pastel drawing is a classic of mine.  It was drawn when George Bush 43 began his campaign for president back in 1998.

The Repbulicans tout how they are gods we the voters are supposed to bow down and worship.  You see, they keep their message pretty simple:  Worship me; get nothing and like it.

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Baby and Husky Dog Singing For The Camera

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Baby and Husky Dog Singing For The Camera: From Denny:  This will have you laughing so hard.  Be careful not to fall off the chair.  Check out the father's sock foot up on the wall and hear him snickering in the background while the mother films the funny episode.

The dog is a husky and is named Angel singing along with her human, a baby named Lexi.  Lexi is so young her tongue muscles have not caught up with her thoughts she is trying to express.  It's as if the dog understands her conversation that probably goes something like this:

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Video Fail: Static Charged Dog Prances Proudly: From Denny:  Every animal lover will laugh at this one.  Hey, the dog just wanted to get a good puppy massage from his owner.

Of course, with it being winter and the air so dry the dog hair got so charged up it produced this hilarious result - with the dog wondering why everyone was laughing.  Check it out:

This "The Young Turks" radio show discussion is hilarious. They rip Donald Trump on his many lies - while they rip Fox News. Today is Double Dip Funny!

The Social Poets: Where Is The Middle Class in America? Half Living Low Income Or Poor

The St. Columbanus Church food pantry in Chicago feeds 500 households a week, but some weeks it struggles to keep up with demand.

The Social Poets: Where Is The Middle Class in America? Half Living Low Income Or Poor: From  Denny:  Where is the middle class in America?  Half of Americans are now scraping by on low income or downright poverty, according to the latest census data.  That's 146 million doing without because of high unemployment, costs that have risen fast, stayed high and suppressed wages.

Mayors of 29 cities say they cannot meet the needs for emergency food assistance, food stamps, and are turning away 25 percent of applicants.  There are already 46 million people on food stamps, a former middle class that never asked for any help until now. Federal and states' programs are frayed at the edges.

And the Republicans claim the Democrats are screaming "class warfare"?  These figures don't lie.  Just where did the GOP expect the unemployed to go?  How do they expect people to eat?

The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Perry Romney 10K Bet

Jon Stewart
Jon Stewart (Image via RottenTomatoes.com)
The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Perry Romney 10K Bet: From Denny:  This is too funny.  Jon points out that on the GOP national debate stage a Mormon is gambling with an evangelical about who is the biggest liar of the two, to the tune of 10,000 large.  According to comic John Oliver, this feeds into the narrative of Romney being an out of touch rich guy millionaire.

After all, the average person in Iowa makes a $10 bet not a $10, 000 one.  Only rich guys throw money around like that demonstration.

How dumb can you get?  In the worst economic depression in 70 years you have a millionaire making expensive bets in front of an audience trying to figure out how to keep their kids in college and pay their mortgage.

Best Spiritual Posts: Music: The First Noel By Jackie Evancho

O Holy Night (Jackie Evancho album)
Image via Wikipedia
Best Spiritual Posts: Music: The First Noel By Jackie Evancho: From Denny: The mature pure talent coming out of this little girl is astonishing. A beautiful voice matched well with this beautiful traditional Christmas song. It's as if you are hearing this old standard for the first time.

The second video is her first audition on America's Got Talent where she swept away the judges. Jackie began singing at age eight when her parents took her to see the Phantom of The Opera. It inspired her so much she began singing around the house. At age ten she auditioned on America's Got Talent - and the rest is history.

The Social Poets: Polls: Voters Yell: Throw Them ALL Out!

Official photographic portrait of US President...
Image via Wikipedia
The Social Poets: Polls: Voters Yell: Throw Them ALL Out!: From Denny: Americans are fed up with a bad economy, massive job loss, bickering politicians and a weak President who does nothing about it all. The anti-incumbent mood is downright antagonistic toward current office holders, according to the most recent poll released by Gallup. In fact, it's the worst anger against politicians in 19 years.

How many members of Congress deserve to lose their jobs? More than 75 percent of the registered voters said, "Yes, throw the bums out!" By that large margin voters said Congress deserves to be kicked down the road.

What about the all-important Independent voting bloc? They don't think Congress deserves to keep their jobs either, saying so by 80 percent. Republicans weigh in at 75 percent and Democrats at 68 percent.

The Social Poets: Obama Step Aside: Should Hillary Clinton Replace Him for 2012?

Official portrait of Secretary of State Hillar...
Image via Wikipedia
The Social Poets: Obama Step Aside: Should Hillary Clinton Replace Him for 2012?: From Denny: Voters are severely dissatisfied with both the GOP candidates and President Obama. Because of a rocky economy, 36 million foreclosed homes dumped onto the market since 2007 plummeting home values for everyone not foreclosed (another 20 million foreclosures on their way) - and uncertain employment - everyone is looking elsewhere for answers and real leadership.

The name of Hillary Clinton is on the lips - and in the hearts - of many Democrats disillusioned with the Obama term. Many women are looking for more women in government to meet their needs instead of the current male dominated politicians playing ego games and stuffing their wallets while in office.

The Social Poets: Poll: Americans Want To Cut Congress Pay, Work Longer Hours

The western front of the United States Capitol...
Image via Wikipedia
The Social Poets: Poll: Americans Want To Cut Congress Pay, Work Longer Hours: From Denny: You can always tell just how bad a job Congress is really doing when the voters want to fire them all, cut out their health care and raid their pension funds. After all, turn about is fair play for it is what Congress and the Obama White House have done to the American worker.

A recent poll from The Hill, which covers Washington politics and lawmaking extensively, reveals some dire predictions for the upcoming 2012 election. No one in Congress or the White House should consider their jobs to be safe. This is an angry electorate.

Since Congress has behaved so badly the past year the public now wants to treat them like a business owner with a bad employee: fire them, scale back their pay, eliminate or reduce their health care benefits and cut out the pension funds.

The Social Poets: Check Out This Video: Worlds Fastest Flying Human

Image via Wikipedia
The Social Poets: Check Out This Video: Worlds Fastest Flying Human: From Denny: Check out this Norwegian wingsuit flyer/paraglider as he leaps off a high cliff and soars a mile or so over the mountains near a river. He finally pulls his chute open to finish the last glide to land easily on the road where a car is waiting to take him home.

What a rush! He looked like a speeding bullet to the camera crew on the ground as he crested the mountain range. He just zoomed on past them, going maybe well over 130 mph? Turns out he was clocked at 250km/hour - which is 155 mph.

Norwegian Espen Fadnes thought this outdoor activity would be a fun experience for the weekend. He has donned his wingsuit and performed this crazy feat so many times he has earned the dubious honor of World's Fastest Flying Human. In fact, last year he jumped off the Swiss Alps in an international competition, taking home the win.

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Holiday Ads: Crazy Target Lady Shopping Tips 4 - 6: From Denny: Crazy Lady keeps the laughs coming! She really does mock the Black Friday shopping spree that occurs every year once everyone has gulped down their Thanksgiving Day dinner.

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Mocks Herman Cain Sexual Prowess

Jon Stewart
Jon Stewart (Image via RottenTomatoes.com)
The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Mocks Herman Cain Sexual Prowess: From Denny: Leave it to Jon Stewart and The Daily Show comedy crew to lampoon yet another political sexual whodunit. In fact, Jon Stewart is praying Herman Cain does not quit the race. He is the satire gift that keeps on giving in the season of Too Much Jolly.

Jon questions Herman Cain's excessive denials of knowing but not knowing - in the biblical sense - the parade of women across the 2012 GOP election stage.

He also challenges Cain's concept of sex. Like how can you conduct a 13-year-old affair without having any sex? Who ever heard of a 13-year-long platonic affair? Better yet, who ever heard of paying off women with whom you never had sex? Does that make any sense?

Jon postulates that Cain must be the worst guy in bed, the worst liar or the worst at getting lucky. Anyway you look at it he sure isn't presidential material for this country. We like our leaders to be virile and capable of sealing the deal. After all, what kind of lousy negotiator would Herman Cain be with another world leader if he can't even get sex in a 13-year-old affair?

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interview: Prez Clinton Talks Fixing Global Economy, New Book

Bill Clinton

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interview: Prez Clinton Talks Fixing Global Economy, New Book: From Denny: President Bill Clinton sits down for in-depth interview with Jon Stewart on what it will take to revive the American economy and create jobs. His new book, "Back To Work," (Why We Need Smart Government For A Strong Economy) lays out specific plans for doing just that, recommending several strategies to current President Barack Obama.

In fact, just recently the Obama political hacks, Axelrod and Plouffe, met with President Clinton in the hopes to help the 2012 campaign. Yes, the same political hacks that have F'd up this economy by advising Obama to cater only to the Republicans and ignore Democratic principles to help the middle class. Those same guys that the Democratic Party should throw from the train.

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interview: How Your Employer Is Screwing Your Pension Fund: From Denny: Ellen Schultz, an investigative reporter, discovered that Big Business has taken the private pension plans for millions of workers - to the tune of 44 million people - and, instead, "turned them into profit centers for their companies." As a result, the plans are severely underfunded.

Did you know that as recently as 10 years ago, these same retirement plans were so flush with cash that they experienced a quarter of a trillion dollar surplus?

How did they drain that surplus? Big Business did the following:

Dennys Funny Quotes: 37 Funny 2012 Election GOP Photos: From Denny: What ever did we do before photoshop came along to skewer our presidential candidates? Life is never so much fun as it is now. The political artists among us had a wild time expressing their opinions about the GOP candidates this year.

And every one of these photos is based upon facts about the candidates. Which is more outrageous - the photos or the candidates? You decide. After all, it's Tuesday and we all need a good laugh to get us ready for the work week Hump Day of Wednesday, right?

Ouch Outrageous Obnoxious and Odd: Funny Jon Stewart: Rick Perry Gaffe Gifts Joy Boners to Comedians

Jon StewartImage via WikipediaOuch Outrageous Obnoxious and Odd: Funny Jon Stewart: Rick Perry Gaffe Gifts Joy Boners to Comedians: From Denny: When the GOP presidential candidates screw up on national television, let the comedians count their blessings. Jon Stewart continues to be amazed - and thankful - for all of the Dope Moment gaffes from the Rick Perry campaign.

Just how many times can a candidate mess up like the gift that keeps on giving? Perry trots out on to the various talk shows to try and convince voters he was in on the joke from the previous night's debate. See? It wasn't really a gaffe like it looked. And who believes that sorry try? Well, no one - certainly not on The Daily Show set.

Worse, The Daily Show comedians all had to get in on the act to "display" their visual joy over the recent Rick Perry debate gaffe where he could not remember all three of the government agencies he claimed he would close down if he were in the White House. He managed to tick off the Commerce Department and the Dept. of Education but declared it an Oops! Moment when he experienced a brain freeze, OK, a brain fart to be truthful.

Dennys Funny Quotes: Calling In Sick To Your Boss: 15 Funniest New Excuses

Claiming your young daughter stole your car is just one of many bizarre excuses to miss work.

Dennys Funny Quotes: Calling In Sick To Your Boss: 15 Funniest New Excuses: From Denny: When you don't feel like going in to work, pull out your little Black Book Of Funny Excuses. Well, there is a new edition in town since a career survey was conducted.

During the colder weather of autumn and winter most people call in sick due to illness like colds and flu. Illness accounts for 39 percent of employees missing in action, according to the survey.

But then there are the creative types who just want an excuse to spend more time with their families. Others just want to spend more time in bed because the weather is too crappy to deal with. Or the procrastinators realize they need to get in some last minute holiday shopping.

So, what hilarious excuses are this generation of employees offering up as savory mind candy to their bosses? If I were their boss I would give them the day off just for creativity and the boldness to try to sell something so absolutely ridiculous.

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interview: Condoleeza Rice Admits Bush Knew No Iraq Nukes

Jon StewartJon Stewart (Image via RottenTomatoes.com)The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interview: Condoleeza Rice Admits Bush Knew No Iraq Nukes: From Denny: Jon Stewart discusses the marketing of the fairy tale ex-Bush administration officials consistently try to sell about the lead up to the Iraq War since they left office. Condi Rice is no exception.

In a carefully crafted narrative she declared the necessity of going to war in Iraq. She cited how Saddam Hussein was "a bad man" and had 16 United Nations Security Council resolutions passed against his regime just for starters.

Rice quoted President Clinton as sending a few friendly cruise missiles Saddam's way to discourage his nuclear interests back in 1998. Of course, at the time, Republicans - and later Bush - ridiculed this "small bore" effort of containing Saddam Hussein but now they praise it.

She also failed to mention how the outgoing Clinton administration gave her loads of intelligence, warning against the 9/11 attack. At the time she foolishly blew that off as a fairy tale and did not act on the intelligence. That true story was conspicuously missing from her interview and book.

The Social Poets: Report: Up For Auction, Who Is Buying Up Our State Judges?

On the AirImage by M.V. Jantzen via FlickrThe Social Poets: Report: Up For Auction, Who Is Buying Up Our State Judges?: From Denny: Author Charles Hall, of the report "Justice At Stake, Interest Groups Dominate Judicial-Election Spending " and Landon Rowland, Chairman Emeritus of the Janus Capital Group discuss America's bought government and the rapid pace to buy up our legal system on the Dylan Ratigan Show.

Our politics are rigged and now our legal system, via state court elections, is getting bought up as well by money interests. The federal system of judges have to be appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate but the state and county level is far easier to purchase - with no oversight to detect it or enforce if judges have been compromised.

The danger is that money interests are frantically busy right now buying up state and county judges for influence and arm twisting so they can win in court. It's the Koch Brothers, and other special interest groups, who figured out that the majority of the law in America is decided on the smaller legal levels and they seek to corrupt that system.
